CLARIFYING THE VISION

MISSION STATEMENT

This brand is for Lori, who owns a business that connects people. She has built a community of people who work together to help each other through life. Her mission statement is: "I help people navigate the bumpy things in life by sharing information, sharing connections and giving expert advice to keep you moving forward in life."

BRAND MESSAGE

This brand is a collective of people who have made it through the other side of life's most trying times, all with one goal in mind: to help people move their life forward. "LHM" are my initials, but also stands for Lord have Mercy, and Let's Have Movement. All things we have asked for when faced with life's big dilemmas.

Cosmopolitan, Forward-Thinking, Irreverent and Spot-On

CREATING A BRAND STORY

I really wanted Lori's inspiration pics to show movement and and a cosmopolitan aspect, since those are two of her brand adjectives. The movement is shown in both the hummingbird and driving car, and the cosmopolitan aspect is shown in the street and the New York City skyline. It was also important that her brand be inspired by New York because that is where Lori is from. Her colors show irreverence with how vibrant and bold they are.

DESIGNING THE BRAND

I wanted Lori's brand to be reminiscent of brands that are based out of  New York, modern, but elegant. The typeface in her logo shows this through the subtle serifs and unique features. Of course, her brand icon is a hummingbird, since that is the name of her business.
